Offlease Only Partners with Best Foot Forward To Change the Lives of Foster Care Youth

BOCA RATON, FL (July 10, 2011) – It’s not every day that a local automobile company steps forward and wants to create life-changing experiences. Offlease Only, Florida’s number one volume used car dealer has joined forces with Best Foot Forward, a nonprofit organization that supports foster care youth, to change lives—in a very big way.

The Strive to Drive Challenge puts a foster youth behind the wheel of a donated car—made possible by the generosity of Offlease Only. Best Foot Forward and Offlease Only are excited about presenting the first car on Saturday, July 23rd at 1 PM to one deserving foster youth at the Offlease Only dealership located at 3531 Lake Worth Road in Lake Worth.

Offlease Only will generously donate one car per month to a foster care youth who has reached their 18th birthday and aged out of custodial care. On the 18th birthday, youth are no longer supported by the foster care system and are faced with living on their own. Transportation is often a challenge as many foster youth are still in school, need to get to their jobs or shop for basic necessities. The Strive to Drive Challenge not only alleviates the transportation issues the youth face upon leaving the system—but rewards them for their efforts and motivation to stay in school and helps them achieve self-sufficiency.

Foster youth that are selected to receive a car must meet specific criteria as well as be able to demonstrate their ability to take care of the financial requirements of owning an automobile.
