Off Lease Only began with a vision to provide a unique and transparent used car-buying experience. Our founders, Mark and Eileen Fischer, started with just two cars and their life savings, and grew their business into the highest volume used car dealer in Florida. They succeeded for two main reasons: they cared about every customer before, during, and after the sale, and they saved their customers thousands of dollars on their pre-owned purchases.
Today, Off Lease Only continues Mark and Eileen’s mission at our five used car dealerships in Florida, bringing high-quality, late-model used cars to customers in the Sunshine State and beyond.
How It All Started
Back in 1992, newlyweds Mark and Eileen decided to take their life savings and buy two used cars that they could resell. Operating from their driveway, this enterprising young couple quickly sold those cars and laid the foundation for what would eventually become Off Lease Only. With little money to spend on advertising, Mark and Eileen relied on good cars, transparent pricing, and great customer service to win new business. Fortunately, their customers were happy to tell their friends and family about the five-star experience they had with Mark and Eileen, which caused their venture to quickly grow.
Becoming Off Lease Only
Since officially becoming Off Lease Only in 2004, we’ve sold over 300,000 vehicles to customers around the world. This has allowed us to become one of the highest volume used car dealerships in the U.S. Off Lease Only is also proud to have earned such accolades as Dealer Rater’s Used Car Dealer of the Year for the entire U.S., an Edmunds 5-Star Premier Dealer, and an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau. All of these honors are 100% based off customer reviews and feedback.
Our dedication to providing a five-star experience while saving customers thousands of dollars on quality used cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans has proven to be a successful business model. In 2019, Off Lease Only joined the Cerberus Capital family of companies, which has positioned us for continued success as a nationwide leader in automotive retail.
The Future of Off Lease Only
As a part of the Cerberus family of companies, Off Lease Only is now positioned to serve more customers and expand its reach in automotive retail. The first phase of our new growth initiative began in March 2021, when we opened our fifth location: Off Lease Only Bradenton. This exciting addition to our family of used car dealership has a 1,000-plus vehicle capacity and allows us to offer free car delivery within 50 miles of our locations to even more shoppers.1 But that store marks just the start of our plans!
